My Views

Comming from Windows i knew it would take some time to get used to OSX but tbh its not been that hard, i'm still trying to get used to CRL+click to right click and to use the apple key instead of the CRL key.

I personally can't get over the screen quality on these, its amazing, sooo much better than my 19" widescreen.

I havn't installed Windows on boot camp yet. I will look into this over the weekend and then try the x3100 in Games :)

I use the two-finger right-click on mine. Think it's in the settings somewhere. All you do then is tap two fingers on the pad together! Cool! Also, two fingers dragged on the pad will scroll up and down. Cooler!

Right, ok, this will be an un-organised mess, but oh well.

First, sort yourself out with double tapping.

Second, yes, the screen quality on Apple products really is amazing, when I hook my MBP up to my Viewsonic monitor I nearly cry.

Third, someone stole your power adapter, remote and software. ;)

Forth, Congrats, welcome to the club. :)

Fifth, fix my Bluetooth, I hardly ever used it b ut I don't appreciate it coming back from being repaired broken. :o

(Can't get into an Apple store for a while)

Nice, i'm thinking of getting one, just need a bit more persuading to justify the cost!

How come the RAM was so cheap?

Quick question - if I was to get a mini DVI to DVI cable, could I hook up this up to my HDTV OK (Has DVI input), Would I also need to connect the audio out on my MacBook to the the audio in on the tele?

Also when using front row can you have the screen of the macbook down without it going into sleep or whatever?

Heh sweet :D Nice pics by the way ;)
Please please PLLEEEEASE try it out on some games and report back :D Im looking at getting the same model (And increasing RAM) and I'd like to know how they run :)

Yes and yes.

DVI is Digital Visual Interface last I checked. So you'd need a sound cable too. :p

I often find myself trying to two finger tap and scroll on Winblows machines. I die a little inside when I realise it doesn't work. :(

WOW!!!

Thanks for the double tap the track pad!! Also just saw that tap track pad to click item :) i was struggling with out that :)

The mains adaptop and remote had already been removed :) I was in impatient :)

I've got a mini DVI -> DVI adptor, but, you have to watch out, it does't support dual link,

So you have to use the 3rd one down:

I was hoping i could get away with a DVI one, then use a DVI - VGA adaptor i have spare from my 8800 but looks like thats a big no :( So i'm guna have to order a VGA one too.

Got the RAM for £35 shipped from a competitor, then used google checkout :)

Bargin TBH.

Very nice :)

It wont take long to get used to.

When I use Windows I always put my mouse to the left hand side to close the window, and I always try to close a program on Windows by pressing Command + Q, but they don't exist :(

Yea i seem to keep about 5+ programs running due to no closing them properly.

READ THE FAQ

Edit: I'm asking for a brand... is that not allowed anymore?

Sorry, my TV has VGA input rather than DVI. It's a Mirai 27" HD Ready LCD TV DTL-527V200.

The resolution is 1366 x 768, will films etc look OK?

PS Sorry for hijacking your thread mate!
