Well, its confirmed !

What exactly are you trying to acheive with this car?

At first I thought you were going for the stealth look by removing the Sport badges etc. But you are also fitting refurbished alloys, funny tinted lights, blinged up headlights etc which removes the 'old Astra, whoa where did THAT go' effect and defeats the point of the debadging..

The lights aren't going to make a HUGE difference to the appearance IMO.

It'll just make people take a second glance because they'll realise something is different, but not be able to put their finger on it first time round.

Sorry, but why did you tint the headlights? Did you tint the reflector, if so doesn't that dramatically affect the light output?

The alloys are OEM items, that coincidentally came on the...Sport.

The lights aren't tinted "funny", the inners have a lip on them and from that lip outwards, is chrome. If you paint that black (not in the path of the light, Enfield) then you have smoked lights. It simply looks nicer (in my opinion, of course) they are still the same headlights that rolled out of the factory, as are the wheels.

Why does it defeat the point of debadging? It still looks like a standard astra (although i will agree apart from the front indicators)

I haven't tinted the headlights, see my above post for the explaination, basically the surroundings of where the actual beam is emitted and reflected has a lip (no bigger than 1cm ish in diameter) and i have painted that.

How are the alloys coming along?

Alloys were finished 2 days after paint mate, although i know rattle cans take longer to harden due to the paint being thinner, so they've had a coupe of weeks to harden properly, and tyres will be going on next week :)

Cheers mate,

Wouldn't have been able to do it without paradigm's advice, infact i think me asking him questions everytime i signed onto MSN probably annoyed him wee bit ;)

Ok, tonight i tried to revive the back box (with not much luck) so i'm on the hunt for the same one, i've been told its a standard gsi mk3 or mk2 gte jobbie, any help on this one?

And i've got some pics of the newly smoked front end, as you will see its probably more "stealth" than standard (i.e. darker)

You'll have to excuse the pictures being a litle dark, i had to adjust the contrast because with it being daylight, you couldn't really see the difference between the two.

Anyway, here are the 6000k Xenons :)

are they able to do main beam? if so we need pics :p

They do main beam, but because they are so bright, all main beam on these does is move the light (with a magnet) to point higher up, it doesnt actually get any brighter!

I have xenon bulbs to, I always get flashed by people going the opposite direction because they think I have my main beams on :(
