Umm hold up there Apollo, the two admins who were on were children, they couldn't take being killed, simple as. It is the all too common sydrome of poor skilled admins getting frustrated by better players and ending up banning them.
Tell them they need to learn to accept that there are better people than them, tell them to stop acting like 5 year olds. Personally I came on for a laugh, I was rushing around with the TMP killing people, I was having fun, and having a light hearted play around but your so called admin had to go and drag it into the gutter by acusing me. And where was your friendly banter and friendly atmosphere then? No where to be seen as it was destroyed by two of your admins. Well played there! I'm surprised if you can fill the server with childish attitudes they showed tonight. Do they ban everyone who kills them? If so gonna be a pretty quiet server pretty darned quick.
Least I have better servers to play on - still laughing at them now!

You make me laugh you really do. We don't run our server like a lot of private school boys do whereby people walk all over us. You give as good as you get and like I said, if you don't like our server then play elsewhere.
I'm happy to abide by the OCUK forum rules and refrain from using bad language but at the same time respect our server rules and the admins decision is final, right or wrong, if you dont like it then our forum is the place to post your grievance, not here. Its like being back at school, getting all your pals involved because you can't be a man and stand on your own two feet and take responsibility for yourself, what a joke.
The server has been been going for a few years now and more recently the size has been increased several times because of the amount of people who have been unable to join when they want to so no problems filling it, but we have to take into consideration the amount of players vs quality of game, reg etc which is the only reason our server isn't bigger than what it is.
We aren't going no where and if you don't like it then try opening your Steam servers list, click the Internet tab and let it build the list, then order it by ping, map, amount of players or whatever you like but don't come to ours. If that isn't good enough for you then shutdown your PC, switch it off at the mains, remove all cables and pack all appropriate hardware back into the relevant box(s). Then take it back to read me or RMA it back to overclockers or wherever it came from, learn to be a man and develope a sense of humour and then consider playing CSS because after all, it is just a game and shouldn't be taken too seriously and there are some people out there that like to have a a laugh whilst their playing it believe it or not.

And Yes, we do have a variety of maps which are reguarly updated and are often suggested by our members and regulars including aim maps.

If you call that a fun atmosphere you guys must have some boring times on the servers.

That's a load of rubbish, I was happily playing along, having fun I was jumped on by the admin for killing a lot of people in a short space of time, which is so easy to do. For the sake of your server, have a word with them, tell them to chill out.
Only when I had had enough of their pathetic chiding from them did I speak out, and call one of them a moron because they had no skill.
Oh and add to that, I was at the B bombsite on Dust2, I was waiting around the corner from the exit of the tunnels for two of them to come through (an admin among them) I shot them both with my silenced USP and he accused me of camping!! What idiot accuses a CT of camping a bombsite when they were easily heard to kill 2 of my teammates in the tunnel!! I told him this and he said something along the lines of it's my server I decide what is camping.
Now, it may seem like a personal attack on your server, and well, it is. Because it was the worst administrated server I have EVER been on.

Whether you like it or not its an immature way to run a server, and there are a few public servers i have absolutely no problem on, and even get better scores etc.
Its just unfortunate that a selection of people with admin rights to servers have very itchy ban hammers, and dont like other people doing better than them.
At of the end of the day mind, its only a game, and its pretty pointless argueing over. (i love argueing though, and its fun baiting ban happy admins, especially if they kick/ban you for doing well)

Whilst i realise the best way for a player to not get hack accusations is to enter the server, type loads, say hi etc, you dont always feel like that. In my particular banning experience i was happily playing along until the kick. My first 'correspondance' was asking why i had been kicked. There is never much chat on aim servers anyways
I have to disagree
arguing over it is the only way to get some over zealous (and paranoid) admin's to chill out and try and have fun instead of working towards a coronary. Plus it's fun to rip idiotic admins to bits

Same - I play on 1 server and thats all - well 4 server but 1 overall server, the Teesside one, hae so much fun on there with my mate across the corridor from me I don't often get involved in arguments like these either, but it's hard not to sometimes.

Yup for stress relief BF2 is usually the daddy for me.
andy, the tocuk server IMO is the best ive played on, its well admined and runs really smoothly most of the time, its just a shame its nearly always empty or someone keeps forgetting to unlock it. Its probably the biggest challenege ive had too, im always happy with myself getting an even KDR, you guys are too good.

Last i heard about Gord he was having a lot of disconnections, but as far as i knew all had been repaired. Dag nab it.
still happens i think. The ports were supposedly given to the admin team there but whether they've not put them in right or at all is another matter. When the server runs on the default ports it'll be fine, but changing IP again is just a hassle.
Also unfortunately we always seem to manage to forgot to unlock the server after a game. We've even got a config set to do it for us. Best thing to do is to add me on MSN, or xfire (tocukandyt) and just let me know.
We should organise a few CSS nights for next week. At the moment i dont think we have many games. We can probably give out the vent details as well. Would be cool. Anyways, save that for another thread
