Am i right in thinking the bloke in the galaxy was joining from the road to the left and just didnt see/know you were there? if so its typical of a lot of drivers to glance for cars and miss bikes.

Wish you a speedy recovery mate, i'm doing my DAS soon and I'm worried about this sort of stuff.

Someone died on my way home today too due to some idiot hitting the rear of his bike and him slamming into a wall :(

So what happened, did the guy in the other lane attempt to go 3/4 the way round the roundabout in the outside lane, or try to go straight accross from left to right without realising you were going straight on? Both have happened to me a few times in a car, and thats worrying enough, dont really want to think what It would be like on a bike.
 
Typical Swindon UA they should use the 400k they are saving on dumping speed camera's to design their roundabouts correctly.

There are at least six bits of marking that are unlawful so sue Swindon council as well!
 
Bet you feel pretty rough with those injuries, the surgery and the multitude of drugs.

At least you're in one piece which is the most important thing.

Also sounds like you've got a good personal injury claim against that driver (though its a shame that part of my premium will be paying for it! :( ).

Just like to say that I hope you'll have a speedy recovery and you'll be back with us on 2 wheels soon enough :)

It's stuff like this that does scare me, but it never seems to rain through to my head that I will get hurt like this someday and so I continue to ride!
