Aside from the fact that it ignores logic, how good Bendtner actually is and that Bendtner is irrelevant to the situation at Arsenal... yeah, hit it on the head.
Firstly you don't only look for players in a transfer window, logic fail number 1. Second, they would be looking for a striker better than the starting striker, Giroud, fail number two. Third, bendtner is good, all his stats say he's good, every time he's had a run of games he's been very good, he's excellent for his country.
The ONLY reasons Bendtner hasn't scored loads of goals is we don't play him, simple as that.
Is it easy to find a striker better than Giroud or bendtner, yes, we had offers in for Higuain and Suarez.. fail number 4 in that "hit the nail on the head" statement. Arsenal's problem as always was failing to do the right thing, making the right choice. We let Higuain slip away because we thought we could get Suarez. Higuain is what we needed, wanted to join and was good value, we had personal terms agreed but we pee'd around thinking we could get a striker off a rival.
Even if we bought Suarez I'm certain that within a couple years he'd be looking to push out of the club for a Real Madrid, Higuain is leaving Real Madrid, wouldn't join Barca, likely would be happy to be at Arsenal for a very very long time. We had him ready to go and we threw the deal away for a player who very likely wouldn't be a long term option for Arsenal......
The problem is with Wenger, even when a great striker was put on a platter needing effectively only a signature he still messed it up. Then in a panic threw 42.5mil at Real when offered Ozil, a player being offered around Europe with few takers because every top manager knew he was a big game bottler and never in a million years worth that much.
Frankly if we'd turned it down and offered 25mil they'd probably have accepted, because they were desperate to sell and were being turned down all over the place.
