Yea, I've been a Wenger in supporter for a long time.... but I think we are never going to change under Wenger. He just keeps trying the same thing over and over again. Expecting it to eventually work. We have no fight, no bottle, no organisation, no chance. It's fine losing to Bayern but at least do it with a bit of fight and organisation.

OK in the summer we signed on paper some good players. Mustafi, Xhaka and maybe Perez.... are good. But it hasn't changed much. We are still crap in defense. Our approach to games is wrong. Losing to Watford at home in the manor we did and then the way we setup in the Chelsea game... was typical Wenger.

Every year in the last 5+ has been consistently the same.

It is Wengers fault more than the players. He is the MANAGER. He is meant to be managing them. Also the strategy / formation is all wrong.

We need change asap. Hopefully this summer. We need a change of system as well. A new formation. A new approach. I would love us to play a bit more defensively it wouldn't be a bad thing.

We shouldn't fear change. There are loads of good managers about.

Bad idea for him to go now tho surely? Yea, it seems like the ill sentiment towards the manager off the pitch has affected the mindset of the players on the pitch.

I just cannot understand how a manager can be great from 96-2004(7) and then from then on be completely stubborn, blinkered and inadequate.

He's transfer policies over the years is just one area that's frustrating. Year after year saying that we have a squad capable of winning the league, when rivals are spending big and it was plain to see year after year we where not good enough.

The last 10 years at Arsenal have pretty much been the same. Predicable.

We are desperately in need for someone with fresh ideas to come in and make us competitive again. Were just not competitive anymore.

Teams we have no chance of beating:

Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U, Man C & Spurs. Any game home or away as an Arsenal fan we just know we are not gong to win.

But that's not even the issue, its the way we lose that's the problem. Clueless, no bottle or fight, tactics naive. And this is the same year after year after year.

I'd rather see us lose 5-1 having fought for our lives than trying to play 'pretty' football and lose 5-1.

So Wenger has made his decision as to what his future at Arsenal is.

He has decided that he will be around for another year then call it quits.

So another year of us making a title challenge at the start of the season then come xmas, we fall off a cliff which also includes the CL. That is if we manage to qualify for the CL this season, still hoping we don't.

But at least he has finally made his decision. Will be strange seeing another manager in the Arsenal dugout but I think we do need a new direction for the club.

I wonder if he will move upstairs or leave Arsenal entirely.

This hasn't been confirmed tho?

The thing with Allegri is, temperament wise he looks the same as Wenger.

If it's just one more year... THANK GOD! I've been a huge Wenger in supporter over the years... but now I am ready for a change.

Did any one catch what Jamie Carragher had to say after the game on Sky Sports? He really laid it all bare. The brutal reality of the situation.

He said basically this has been the same story for the last 10 years. And the way that Palace played against us was the same way that his Liverpool days with Crouch set up to play Arsenal.

Absolute naivety and stubbornest to adapt.

I hope he goes at the end of the season.

At the end of the season he'll probably say we have a squad good enough to win the league and we don't need a squad overhaul or drastic changes.

I would like to see Silent Stan go as well.

How can a team like Juventus, suffer going down a division having their team ripped apart and then in 5 years rebuild a fantastic team?

That's proper decisions being made at the top. We do not have that leadership at the top unfortunately.

I loved Wenger and respect the man, but it has been the same at least for the last 5 if not 10 years.

It's just the stubbornness of the man that is the issue. He never changes. He'll try the same thing again and again and again because he thinks it's the correct thing to do. But we have never been title contenders for a very long time now.

Telling us the squad is strong enough to win things where every single season the same issues crop up every one bar him can see that the squad needs players but he comes out and says we have a team good enough to win the league!

Then you've got missing out on top players because he refuses to pay the asking price even if it's just a few million more.

Honestly..... we need freshening up. Someone to give the team some pride, bottle and team spirit.

Go and listen to what Jamie Carragher had to say at the end of the game on sky sports yesterday. Perfectly summed it up.

It looks like the team has 'chucked in the towel' under Wenger. I don't see how he can carry on from here.

We need a manage that shows he knows what he's dong, able to galvinise the team and the players show 100% commitment to paying for him.

That doesn't mean we have to win everything.... but just that we give it a good go in the right way.

Wenger is and has been delusional for a very very long time.

We've been going in circles for close to a decade. Honestly every year he just tells us stories.... The stories include him saying we've got a squad good enough to compete, we don't need strikers when we've got Giroud and Walcott already. Not buying year after year after year after year the right players in he right positions (CB, DM). The same issues cropping up year after year because of this and him saying we got a good enough squad to compete the following season having not dealt with the issues in the squad from the year before.

Every year is predictable.

We start well in the league, just about get out of the Champions league group stage, start falling away in the league after Xmas. Lose in the round of 16 in the champions league. finish fourth.

And lastly celebrate St Totteringhams Day.

:p

---

Something has affected the player long before the fans turned on Wenger. The fans turning on Wenger is not the reason for the teams plight at the moment.

Some deep deep issue at the club which we do not know about.

Hardly a decade, Arsenal reached the semi finals and quarter finals in 07/08/09/10 in Europe. They just could get to the final again. The last 5 years have been poor though, Real Madrid didn't get out the last 16 for 7 years from 02 until Mourinho got in charge

You may have a point, but for me it's the naivety of his tactics which is a problem.

Away to Chelsea is a good example. We set up away to Chelsea to attack them. Garry Neville summed it up during the match.

He said the way Arsenal have been set up, they are basically saying 'we can do more damage against you with Bellerin than you can with Hazard'.

And we all know how that match went.

I cant see us winning any games from now till the end of the season.

Look how we started the season as well... so Ill prepared! What the hell is he doing.
