DSA (unwanted/not what you expected), loose the postage both ways and buy a 780Ti that was same price that week as the 2x770 2GB's you bought before these cards (before spending even more on water blocks for the 770's) and learn by your mistake.

Or RMA and possibly get them sent back to you multiple time claiming they were tested and fine like another peep here recently and many peeps in past, total nightmare and a ballache TBH.

You only pay the return postage, the original postage should be refunded (by law)

Hmm not sure if its simply unwanted not faulty.

What should you get back?
The original cost of the outbound postage to you should always be refunded by the seller.
The seller's terms and conditions or returns policy should state who pays the cost of returning the item.
If they don't state this, then the seller has to cover the cost.

You can still DSR something BECAUSE it is faulty, just write this in an email to the retailer, if they agree that it is faulty then you get back both sets of postage, not faulty and you still get the original postage.

Great how someone can tell me whether my cards workin or not and can determine whether I want a card or not without actually knowing me.

Also as I said to u in earlier posts in a seperate thread I can't find a 780/ti for well under 300 notes or I woulf have bought one despite your numerous attempts at telling me and others that 2nd hand 780s can be bought thru the MM for 200-230.

Well said that man, at least you are trying to ascertain what is causing the problem as it could be one of many things and maybe not even gpu related. For an enthusiast forum there are a lot of guys chucking the towel in far too early and even suggesting you buy a more expensive brand, which may or may not fix your problem, shame on them. hope you get it sorted Robert. :)

Shocking thread tbh, just contains lots of fud brand worshipping. Return the card or exchange it for another - simple.

Wether or not it is a PEBKAC remains to be seen, however slating the manufacturer where it clearly happens to them all tickles me! ;)

Any excuse eh.

Rob, have you tried running this program to see if you can do a full driver cleanout.

If not i suggest trying it before resorting to something as drastic as a full os reinstall.:)

I said this months ago.

You can shove AMD as far as I'm concerned.

lol. I went through 5 AMD gpu's and said I'm done. I've used both through out the years, but amd has got so bad I said enough. The funny thing is I've never had a Nv issue ever, but every time I use AMD theirs always some issue.

Agreed, and if it were a Nvidia card having issues, they would not be saying the same. At least going by the last 20 builds which me and my mates have done, with a combination of Kepler and GCN based cards they seem fine. I cannot vouch for the R9 290 series and the GTX780 series but the ones under them though.

However,this thread has been useful.

Yeah mate I used that coupla times yesterday, although I done a full fresh install as well so guaranteed no old drivers lying about somewhere. Friend on his way round so one way or another I'm hoping to get it sorted tonight

Had a load of AMD cards over the years. We have a few here now, I do like AMD stuff but all my best experiences on PC have been with Nvidia cards.. 8800GTX, GTX480, GTX 780, 780Ti. There is just a quality / performance with Nvidia cards that is sometimes worth the extra imho.

You never though AMD could make better cards on 20nm and might tempt me back to the red side again. Nvidia is looking pretty strong right now though, looking forward to the new drivers tomorrow. Performance gap could get even bigger..

To the OP, I would RMA and get yourself a GTX 780 asap.

Aah well, hopefully you get sorted soon. Tbh, this can happen with either brand of card. It's just unfortunate for you in your case. Keep us updated on how things progress.:)
