I liked him in the fresh prince and independence day but he went down hill with wild wild west and men in black. Still I hope he gets his act togethor.

Anyway didnt someone notice theres no piece of american law that says you have to file a tax return or pay income tax? So tons of IRS people quit?

This makes no sense in this context

It makes perfect sense if you've seen Demolition Man ;)

The museum is no longer sealed, is it? Ha-ha! What can I say, I'm a blast from the past!

*edit*

schoolboy error - it's from Blade, not Demolition Man :(

Thats Will Smith, not Wesley Snipes. Am i missing something?

But prosecutors said an example should be set because of Snipes' fame.

That is just outrageously unfair.

Let's use this celebrity to advertise maximum sentencing.

Didn't he have an accountant?

if thats true and he did get sentenced the max and the judge said it, then it would be very likely his lawyer could get him off at an appeal.

If however it was just the prosecution saying it not the judge then it probbably didn't happen.

He did not have to go to prison immediately but must surrender to custody at a later date.

I can just imagine the scene:

"Are you ready to go to prison Mr. Snipes?"

....

"I WAS BORN READY, MOTHER****ER"
