western digital Help

I have a Western digital wd800 80gb hard drive. i can see it in the bios but when the pc loads i cant see it in my computer but the device manager is elling me its installed. i have even tried using my xp disk to forma it o see if that is the problem but that jus tells me that the drive is not accassible please help as i need the drive

Right click on My Computer, select Manage, select Storage > Disk Management - Can you see the drive there and format it?
