US: Westworld

Don't think much of this season - I feel like the show has lost its way really despite having the setting and characters, etc. the twists in the writing feel contrived without any real pay off. I just don't find myself even caring to try and untangle a lot of it beyond having a rough idea as to what is going on.

Personally thought this season was much better than S3. Although i found Christina/Dolores' acting annoying towards the end.

Seems she went to the same acting school as SMG/Michael Burnham - every line delivery was the same breathless whisper, whether is was some startling Discovery (ha!) or just announcing what she had for breakfast.

I've actually really enjoyed this season. But then, I've enjoyed the whole Westworld story.

I know some didn't like it when it went out of Westworld but I seem to remember there was a sequel to Westworld where people in positions of power were replaced by hosts.

Can't say I completely understood all of S4 but I really enjoyed it.

Sad it's over and to be honest, I'm not sure it needs S5.

I've only just had the chance to start watching this, only glancing the thread to avoid spoilers, but half way through season 2 and loving it so far. Season one was stellar on it's own, and executed so well. Just on the Shogun World episode of season 2 and I hope they can keep up the quality.

Season 1 is the best by a long way unfortunately - it kind of loses its way as the seasons progress and a lot of the incidental world building, i.e. hints as to the bigger world outside the park, in season 1 goes out the window.

Just watched the finale of season 4 its started great and even had Trevor (well the actor) from GTA5 :D and some fine lines from the man in black then the last 20mins kind of lost me ,think id rather have a side back series of the man in black killing camping cockroaches  than season 5 the way it ended .....

Also Simon from the Walking Dead!

I think (hope) that the writers realised that the robots taking over the world was ridiculous as was the significant time jumps - we loved the show and had the most fun when we were in the parks. Anything outside of the parks became just another sci-fi show.

Looking forward to S5.

Just watched Season 2 Episode 8 - Kiksuya, the one with the Native Indian backstory.

Honestly one of the best bits of TV I've seen in a long time, actually made me tear up. Seems it got a 9.2 on IMDB, but that's the best rating of any episode since then, which is a bit worrying. Still, will finish this season and give the next a go and hope for the best.

Cancelled

I quite enjoyed the last season after really not liking the one previous. Not sure how they can do anything different in the next season though so happy for it to end there.
