Now to my mind these are different beasties, i have told the company who assesed it to go away and think again. So far the company "The Source" have been helpfull...

any thoughts...

Thanks for the words of wisdom so far. I have emailed the full spec to the source and they should be getting back to me today.

How did you get OCUK to spec you a similar pc? Can someone put this in motion or let me have an email address to send to.

A couple of options would be nice via email then i can send them off and see what happens, and of course i will be spending the money with the right company...

Cash would have been nice as i was thinking of a conroe system, but i guess the 3.0 prescott is still current?, how about the AGP x850 though, isnt that now dead and they should be supplying a current pci-e gfx card and board?

Ive emailed the company back and put a link to this thread in it...

Im not greedy, just want what im paying for.. Dont think i will continue the £1500 pc cover though anymore...

I did call them and was told i should get a call back today or tommorow (same message as yesterday)

However they lady did say my spec list had been emailed to tech support now... but that should ahve been done from the start realy shouldnt it..( or they could have looked at the pc in more depth..)

Can someone take a look over this and let me know there thoughts... ( ive noticed no raptors so far.. )

Thanks for the replies, yeah now its after the fact there would be a lot of things i would do differently.

Carnt realy get any of my old parts back now, i think its too late and apart from that they wanted £75.00

Im pretty happy with the spec so far, saying that im going to price up the case and mobo and ask for a different brand worth the same money.

One more thing, surely i can save some money here by telling them: mine never had a floppy drive, nor did i sed it with a keyboard and mouse and windows xp also? i have my own copy thanks.

Well i have emailed the source and told them im pretty happy with the quote thus far, ive looked up the prices on the mobo and case and asked for a price like for like exchange as im not happy with the brands and quality.

Ive also asked that if possible i can have a raptor drive, after all its exactly what i sent in..

Ive also asked them to take out the: keyboard, mouse, floppy drive and windows xp as i never sent that to them, hopefully they will see this as a gesture of goodwill and we can resolve this once and for all.. :D

RESULT!!

After my email yesterday requesting certain components the source has come good!!

Gotta say im pretty happy with that lot, i did compromise by asking for the lian-li only as a midi but thats a personal thing... ;)

Many thanks to all of the replies to this thread, im sure it had something to do with the outcome. Thanks to colbaker also for his countless attempts at helping with this.

Will wait for it to arrive now... (will post pics later..)
