What a complete muppet

That is shocking, I would never dream of leaving the keys in the car, even if I am stood next to it.

I am sure that will be a hard lesson learnt!
 
What a total and utter plank, it amazes me how some ppl manage to get through day to day life cause they are quite clearly total tools.
 
If I had that calss of money in my wallet, I'd be bloody nervous just walking down the street. I wouldn't leave it in my unlocked car which had the keys in it.

Hopefully he's learned from his stupid mistake.

A bit daft, hardly, today i've mostly been going to work without locking the house, it will be alright i'm feeling lucky.
 
Thats more common than you would think. A lot of people leave the keys in the ignition running when they pay for petrol. My old next door neighbour had his brand new Audi A4 stolen in this way.

Well, he only nipped in to get a twix and made a cockup. I personally wouldn't go up to him and go "HAHA your car got nicked and you are a prat and an idiot and barely have the capacity to live!"
 
Do travel agents not take debit/credit cards? There're very, very few conceivable reasons why you'd need to carry about £1100 in cash anyway. Unless you're a drug dealer/pimp. Or a premier league footballer who needs something to light their drainpipe sized cigars.

Just what I was thinking but theres no way the insurers will cover that.

I don't think I've ever had the need to carry that much money around what with, debit/credit cards, cheques, money transfers etc.
 
I swear, not all us Cupra owners are like that! I agree, he IS a muppet. Makes me wonder how often this happens. Do people just wait outside newsagents in the early hours waiting for some plank to do this?
 
a guy on our place left his keys in the ignition when we went to get a sandwitch, wasa company car so not sure what heppened with money /insurance
 
Its no different than all those other idiots that start their cars on a winters morning and leave it to warm up while they sit inside drinking their tea!

Even if you lock the car with your spare set while its running it doesnt take 2 secs to put the window through and open it up again.
 
Not quite as bad, but when I was 10 I left my bike outside the newsagent without locking it and someone (well, some kid) stole it :( It broke my little heart!

TBH though, 'lock the house when you leave it' etc is a lesson you really should be learning at that stage in your life. I think he deserved to lose the money just to make him remember the lesson.
