I don't get why delivery drivers do this...i work for one of their competitors, and if my driver doesn't deliver the item...he doesn't get paid for that delivery.

With the best will in the world, and speaking as someone who got royally ****** about by DPD, I seriously doubt that the guy would get fired, no matter how eloquently and politely you explained to his superiors how annoyed you were, and that it would be the last time you would use their (dis) services, plus you would shout it from the rooftops to anyone prepared to listen.
Cue collective shrugging from management.

Okay SGF, something apparently went over my head, so on your advice I went back and read the thread from page one.
I can’t see how my theory is worthy of being disparaged.
Yes, if it all went down as you said, and I’ve no reason to doubt you, then the guy was totally in the wrong, but my belief that he’ll suffer no censure at all still stands, these companies seem to delight in flipping the bird at the customer.
What do they care about upsetting you, there’ll be people forming a line to use them long after you’ve decided to use an alternative company for your merchandise.
Of course you’re right, of course he should at the very least be threatened with dismissal, but I don’t think that he will be.

I'll give permission for the Mods to quote your post (it's been hidden), it's in the thread where that poster wanted to know where I was and claimed I had tried to hide myself on the forums with multiple usernames hence my sig.

You came on, gave my full name, where I worked, talked about my unusual interest in the school girls I worked with (words to that effect) and me kissing my daughters on the lips. If you see me out everybody, including men, get it on the lips, I'm sooooo popular.
