What am I missing?

I want to get an SSD for my new build. Everyone seems to be saying that the RealSSD M4 is the best but I don't understand why.

Looking at the Specs the OCZ Agility 3 is better and cheaper.

M4: Read Speed: 550MB/Sec, Write Speed: 110MB/Sec
Agility 3:Read Speed: 525MB/Sec, Write Speed: 475MB/Sec

So what makes the M4 better??
 
The agility 3 uses a Sandforce type controller that relies on compressible data to achieve such high read and write speeds. In contrast, the M4's quoted specs are pretty much what you will get.

For this reason the M4 actually beats the agility 3 in benchmarks and real-world tests- see here (the Force 3 is basically the same as the agility 3):

Please bear in mind that it is not the headline sequential read/write speeds that really matter for SSD performance -instead it is the speed for small reads/writes, like the 4K tests.

Also, the M4 is known to be a lot more reliable.

well just think, how much of a saving is it, when from the general consensus, ocz drives are pretty poor, and you may end up sending it back more times than you use them, but im sure someone will come along in a few mins and try an disprove me, but the facts are, that crucial have the better all round drives because of this reliability, i read somewhere, that crucial have only had 1 reported actual dead drive in its rma department, same for intel, how true this is, i dont know, but tbh it wouldnt surprise me

The results of the Force 3 in the link is no where near the specs they say!!!! I think I'll go with the M4 then!
 
force 3 and agility 3 use inferior asynchronous nand where performance drops off when drive is above half full

vertex3
crucial m4
corsair gt all use superior synchronous nand where this doesnt happen,love my 60gb corsair gt,no problems at all
