It's kinda hard to work out as Samsung appear to be giving everyone the quiet treatment regarding stock. Not sure on the release date now and we have recently had er... changes which makes stuff harder to sort out as you'd imagine :) Article looks a lot worse than it is, olaf is pretty baller.

With a name like Olaf, I suspect he's a bit of a hero.

Do you think Orange will have it available soon though? I have an old Orange contract I could get a free upgrade on to save me buying one, provided the phone isn't ruined by bloatware (I expect it won't be).

His face is more french villain (he's from France Telecom) to me ;) Don't fire me olaf if you see this.

AFAIK we are going to sell this through stores / online last I heard (it changed, originally was going to be 3rd party only) but.... dates are hard on this one. Usually xmas stock is sorted now, times are bad if the launch window is <30 days to xmas for business reasons (hell, all businesses don't like stuff changing this close) so I can't give any firm dates but I expect last week nov/first week dec but this is 100% my speculation based on what happens at this time of year.

Nice one! Thanks :)

You're welcome, just thought it might be interesting for comparison purposes. I guess it's no real surprise that on a fairly tech savvy forum the average is weighted away from the earlier versions that appear on the Marketplace.

Add a 4.0.1 option please ;)

I was just trying to keep the choices in line with the article, that and I'm not sure how to add new options without managing to stuff up what's already there. I presume I could but I think it probably has more value as it is. :o

SE X8 - 2.1

T'is a slow phone that needs to die a million horrible deaths. I'd upgrade to Gingerbread, but I'm not entirely sure it would cope.

175MB RAM = LOL slow
