What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Waiting for Plague Tail: Requiem and Uncharted 4.

Refuse to state my age amongst all you youngsters on this thread. :)

I‘m 57 very shortly. Started gaming on an Atari 2600, followed by a ZX Spectrum. Forgot gaming for a decade or two due to motorcycles, girls and alcohol until I picked up an original PlayStation not long after their U.K. launch.

My decision on what to play goes down to what goes on a steam sale, good price on a key or games pass. Shouldn't pay more than $20 for a video game after all. Gotten into pc building sim 2 atm. Playing through first plague tale game as well.

I'm basically playing two kinds of games:

Long-term 'sandbox' games I will likely play for years due to mods/overhauls and replayability:
  • SkyrimVR
  • Total War Warhammer III
  • Bannerlord
Short-term story-based games I am working through or want to work through this year:
  • RDR2
  • God Of War
  • A Plague Tale: Innocence then later the upcoming sequel

Reliving my over 30 year childhood by playing Pokemon Fire Red!

Also, purchased Killer 7 last night on Steam, which I loved back in the day, so exited to relive that.

44 and I play what my son and daughter is playing to keep tabs on them :)

Genshin Impact for my daughter
EVE for my son
myself, I play Apex legend when I have the time

47 and really enjoying "Hell let loose" with a mate whos a few years older than me, find it more suitable to my old reaction times and more strategic
This looks like the sort of game you need to communicate in. It looks really good though. Very immersive.

Just finished Frostpunk which i got free on GOG, awesome game! Not as complicated as some other sim builder managers but still very rewarding! Can't wait for the next one.

Overwatch 2, the gameplay is fantastic. I thought as a tank main i would hate it, i wasn't a fan during the betas but since it launched, really enjoying it and 5 vs 5 has made the gameplay fantastic and rewarding.

The monetisation is frickin' awful though.

Shadow of War, I ignored this when it came out as it's a single player game so waited until it was vastly reduced, pretty damn cool :)

Incredibly has a better story line than Amazon's recently attempt at a LOTR style fantasy.
