It varies by model, most people also use data from Backblaze which is not ideal for comparative purposes (24/7 in a DC with a chassis full of other drives vs your personal PC) and by the time they have a reasonable data set to look at, the drives themselves are often past the optimum £/GB point. Generally people seem to like WD’s, personally warranty has never been what I would describe as amazing, I have had multiple DOA’s for warranty replacements, and you are usually given re-certified drives, even if you have paid full whack for an advanced replacement.
The other part of your question concerns me, if a drive fails, you have a backup anyway right? The optimum at present is roughly £17/TB last I looked, but that’s based on 12TB externals and once you split the case, warranty is unlikely.
