What are the chances i'll get a refund from Amazon?

Amazon have introduced this as I was required to provide a number to the driver when he delivered a mini PC a couple of days ago
They've had it for donkeys. It's applied dynamically based on time, area and item rather than a carte blanche implementation which seems to be beyond some people.

Try this.

I've never had a single issue with Amazon regards delivery issues or returns. They've just done whatever it takes to please. Gigerty.

Expensive and special items still need confirmation of delivery.. when my Apple ultra watch was delivered they text me a code before hand to confirm it was me that it was being delivered to.

£82 pounds is peanuts for Amazon, if they have agreed that drivers don’t need confirmation, they should be happy to cover for loss or damages.

They will likely offer a replacement.. it’s not worth their hassle not to.

I must’ve been lucky as it’s the first time I’ve been asked for a number in 25 years of ordering from Amazon!

Never had an issue getting a refund from amazon tbh

I'm wary of these provide a number deliveries as well, been plenty reported as the codes not working for the driver to say he'll get the order updated and retry delivery later...

When in actual fact he's took the code, used it and marked the item as securely delivered never to return

Thank you to everybody who replied

I waited the 24 hours and thankfully they refunded it!! They didn't have a photo etc Its really odd as this area has a very low crime rate (Compared to where we used to live.. (Kingstanding, Birmingham lol)

thank you all once again.

Didn't stop someone swapping out a 3D scanner I ordered with a bag of cat litter

At least they issued the refund quickly.

Expensive seems to be about 300quid to amazon.
cos I've had items costing around 250 delivered to lockers.
I'm sure it used to be a lot less and they wouldn't even let me have 200stuff delivered to one.

substitute item like supermarkets do :P maybe you can use the cat litter to dry out the filament :D
There's always logical thinking involved.
