What are the most original films you've ever seen?

The Fountain - though unfortunately it didn't really pull off what it was trying to do.

Predestination

Go into it without looking at any reviews or trailers and for me was completely original.

Yeah one of the better ones but once you put the pieces together it loses a lot of that originality it appears to have.

I don't know why exactly, but both Lucky Number Slevin and True Romance seemed super fresh the first time I watched them.

Come And See is probably the most memorable film I've seen. It's a very disturbing experience and I never want to see it again.

It's the war film to end all war films.

I’m going to go a little bit left field

WALL-E

an animated family film with basically no dialogue in the first 20 minutes and two lead characters that don’t speak was at the time an incredible gamble and still makes the film stand alone. The absolute peak of Pixar alongside the likes of UP and coco before they disappeared down the sequel wormhole!

I'll throw in another vote for The Lobster. So odd but I couldn't stop watching and enjoyed it.

WALL-E is a good shout although you could argue that silent films have already done this, both had prompts to tell you want was going on.

Inception was an original take on a heist movie, not seen anything like that before.
