What are the working hours (builders, noise, etc)?

I recently had problems with builders noise from my neighbours house (I started a thread on the incident on this forum a couple of months ago), and this is what my councils noise officer quoted me as acceptable hours:

Monday - Friday: 0800 - 1800.
Saturday: 0800 - 1300.
Sunday: No work noise allowed at all.

I'm in Tower Hamlets (London) btw.

I was woken up at 5am by the london to brighton people laying the dividers on the road outside my house on sunday >: (

7-11 Monday - Friday, the weekend has different rules.

Have a read of my previous post and you will see what my own local council specifies as acceptable hours for builders noise. The problem is that it varies from council to council around the country.

OP, you'll need to contact the noise officer at your own local council to get times that are specific to you.

As has already been said though, those are the times that are set-out by my own council and are relevant to my London borough. Your own coucil may see things differently, so it's worth giving them a quick phone call.
