What are you cooking for Christmas Dinner: 2018 Edition

I went a bit silly and bought a huge turkey and 2 crowns from Waitrose this evening. Then a full beef rib which I might not cook, I might just look at it in awe until new year. This is what happens when I shop hungry. :D

Slow cooked a gammon in the oven today to have cold with Christmas lunch. Had been soaking for 24 hours in water with carrots, onions, bay, etc. with a couple of water changes.

Used a glaze of mustard, brown sugar, chili sauce, cloves, garlic, sherry.

Half is in the fridge, half has gone in the freezer.

Nice, did you follow a recipe?
Not as such, just snippets of advice from YouTube videos and articles on the internet.

I didn't boil it at all and it tastes incredible.

One comment I liked the sound of for example was from Tom Kerridge, which was to not insert cloves because it makes it a faff to carve and you can get the flavour anyway by putting cloves in the glaze.

Almost went for Nigella's cherry Coke gammon.
