360: NFS: Hot Pursuit. On the one hand I miss the true open world from Burnout Paradise, with all the exploration and truly alternative routes. On the other hand, I do quite like the focus on racing. The handling is a bit weird - some cars are super sensitive and really slidey, but I'm getting there. I'm working on the racer career at the moment and the hot pursuit events are definitely the best - loads of action going on.
Wii - Metroid: Other M. Really not too happy with this. It feels like a huge step backwards from Metroid: Prime. The controls are horrible and shifting from 3rd to 1st person for missiles is tricky in a fight. The characters are awful and I don't know what they think they've done to Samus. The level design is bland - it just feels like a corridor shooter. There's very little feeling of exploration and it really lacks character compared to the Prime games where every area had a purpose and there were all the logs and scans to flesh things out. Hmmm. I'll probably complete it, but I won't hesitate to send it back to Lovefilm ASAP.
