What are YOU currently playing?

Got some last gen gaming going on...

God of War - Just maxed out the blades of Athena and I'm currently making my way through the challenge of hades. (having to kill everything within the maze)

Final Fantasy 12 - Just escaping The Nalbina Dungeon :)

Yakuza - Havent played much of this, Literally just finished the first training mission, showing you how to fight during the debt collection.

Mass Effect 1 on the 360 on Veteran. This is the first time I have played this and it is pretty good. Am looking forward to 2 and 3.

Don't get your hopes up too much for 2, it's great but not as good as the original in my opinion!

Zelda OOT on the 3DS, loving it so far although the controls do feel a bit 'janky' at times but a not a big deal, first time playing the game for me as I'm not normally a fan of 3d games that were popularised in 2D initially, the 3D effect at first felt supplementary but now I've adjusted to it I can't play the game without it, it really helps the game feel more immersive.

Mine too - gave up half way through as the constant probing was becoming a pain in the arse, if you know what I mean. I think they were so caught up in the whole story-ness of Mass Effect that the gaming parts were thrown in as an after-thought.

Feeling a bit uninspired at the moment, so got lots on as not much is grabbing me. Playing Mass Effect, which seems ok but he shooting isn't great. Dirt 3, but he handling is heavy going after so long playing Forza 3. Also playing the original Portal to hear the developer commentary which is really interesting. It's amazing to hear about how much stuff they tested and how they responded to it to make the game better, and all the things you do in game which they lead you to do without you even realising it. Valve clearly test things to a phenomenal degree to make things work well.

Finished God of War 3 - what a long hard slog that was.

On to Infamous, and really really enjoying it. Eyeing up Infamous 2 but not sure its worth getting right now, the reviews don't seem to be as good as on the first one.

You'll have to play it tbh, the storyline is ace and it continues on

Recently finished Singularity (what a game!) , and Serious Sam the Second Encounter (absolute mayhem - and great fun!) and the first Splinter Cell (original Xbox version running on the 360).

Now playing Splinter Cell Double Agent Original Xbox version (running upscaled on the 360) as I recently heard it was totally different to the 360 version (which I also own and previously completed) and picked up a copy off fleabay. Its much more like the older Original Xbox games which I prefer with the light/dark mechanic and the gadgets and suit. Its awesome and I would recommend it to any Splinter Cell fan, even if you've finished the 360 version of Double Agent as the original Xbox version is a completely different (and imo better) game.

Anyone tried the Driver: San Francisco Demo yet?

Downloaded it today, it feels like a game made for 10 year olds with abysmal, corny dialogue and weird gameplay mechanics. It's basically a cross breed between Burnout: Paradise and Need For Speed but done really, really badly. The pedestrians auto-move when you drive on the pavements (a-la LA Noire), the only redeeming thing about it was the graphics. It looks pretty.

On a lighter note, completed Dead Space, loved it and i'm about to start the 'Impossible' playthrough.

:)

Yep, tried it, it was awful frankly. The graphics were rubbish, the missions were each timed, the dialogue lines kept repeating the same three lines every few seconds, but the absolute worst thing about it was the handling. it was like trying to steer an Oil Rig with shopping trolley wheels attached to it around a slalom course. Absolutely diabolical. Shame, I was actually going to buy it but I'm glad I played the demo now and have saved the cash for the many other games coming out very soon I want.
