What are you hoping for on black friday?

SSD arrived, my Black Friday shopping is complete ! (with one not going to be shipped until next month)

Ah that makes sense.

I ask because a lot of folk seem to think a £155 air fryer is good value yet they own an electric fan oven which is the same thing.
Gotcha. My gas cooker is pretty pathetic and on it's last legs. It was free and here when I moved in, and whilst the oven is perfectly safe and serves a purpose, I'd much rather have the air fryer and just make use of the gas hobs on the cooker.

I got my gpu in an early black friday sale on OC a little while ago. CPU was full price from OC as its brand new and I bought dirt cheap Thermalright CPU and Case fans which haven't gone on discount - 3 rgb fans for £12 can't really get much cheaper to be fair

I wanted to pick up an SSD and PSU to complete my system. I had been a bit concerned by the way PSU prices seem to have risen in recent years - but I got the Corsair 850w I was waiting on for the price I was targeting last night. I'd have liked to have just used my current 650w but Zotac says its not enough - PC Part picker suggests it would have been fine but not sure how reliable that is

Also picked up a 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO, which is quite exciting as I have never had an m.2 before

Also saved 40 quid last night by swapping out a Gigabyte motherboard I had picked last week up for an ASUS version (both B650) which was on offer at a healthy discount.

I got some Corsair Ram a few weeks ago at full price from OC, it's now on sale elsewhere, but I suppose you can't win them all!

I admit I have been quite tempted by some of the discounts on the pretty new fishtank style cases ... but there is nothing actually wrong with my Coolermaster Master Case 6 from my current build and I don't want to spend money for the sake of it... even if they are pretty and shiny

I do enjoy black friday when I have a list of specific things to target. But I've also found myself tempted to buy a couple of random things like Dobby lego just because it's 15% off and sitting at the top of the Amazon homepage....That's how they get you

Ended up buying some Lego on their Insiders deal as I had some gift cards as well. Lego Ecto-1, the NASA Discovery Shuttle and got two free GWP's, the Retro record Player and the Winter train set.

I'm building a new rig and I've been waiting for these sales to get what I can before the 50 series arrives early next year. Hoping to be ready to go by the time Monster Hunter Wilds is released, with enough juice to max it graphically at 1440p with an eye on 4K in the future.

Started with the Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master motherboard; the discount wasn't much but now they're hard to find for a similar price brand new from any retailer I trust, so I feel vindicated. 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 of Corsair Dominator Titanium RAM and a matching pair of dummy sticks. Memory's price wasn't budging but I swallowed that. I'm glad I managed to score a Corsair iCUE LINK H170i LCD AIO for about 50% off from Corsair's site of all places! Deals still there last time I checked, FYI.

The meat of my deals came in the past 48 hours however: A Corsair iCUE 7000X RGB ATX Full Tower Case for about 20% off, 2TB & 4TB Samsung 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 NVMe Drives for decent discounts and 3 Corsair QX120mm fan triple packs that amounted to 3 for 2 considering their combined discount. I only need 8 but I'm effectively getting the extra 9th fan for £14 and it never hurts to have a spare. Finally, the Corsair HS80 MAX Wireless Headset, from Currys (don't sleep on Currys, apparently), for a third off!

I'm concerned for the condition of the motherboard and the 7000X case still in their packaging, but I'll cross that bridge when I'm ready to start building the PC proper. Beyond a few iCUE cables, PSU (eyeing the Corsair RM1200x SHIFT), the Ryzen 7 9800X3D's availability and the release of the RTX 5090, I'm content to let my wallet recover.
