Contrary to most of you my favourites haven't changed in years and aren't even some of the best films in my top 5 or 10 but they're the ones I like the best.

I’m going with two films which I’m surprised that nobody has mentioned yet… but I guess when you get to the top 2 it’s super competitive!

LOL have seen on various forums top 10 lists, then top 5 and 3, but top 2?
OK then I'll play :) But only dependant on my mood just now that fluctuates a lot.

I hate these types of threads, (because it is hard to answer as there are so many films to chose from) but I do however, have the need to post in them :)

I will go for, Heat (1995) and The Godfather Part2 (1974).

Someone should make a thread with our personal top 3 in all genres. (I can't be arsed as I am currently suffering with man-flu, god-damn kids soft play. Breeding ground for everything) I think that could open up a few suggestions for people to watch that may have passed under their radar. With 24 genres on IMDB, it could make for a quite varied top 3 lists.

Some great answers here, some I need to watch as I have not seen a few of them.

I have never seen Alien or Aliens, I see them mentioned a fair bit here
 
As others mentioned, its hard to pick just 2 and the choices would vary depending on the day/month/year :D

For arguments sake I will say The Matrix and Goodfellas.

But on a nostalgic day I would say The Karata Kid and Back to the Future.

On another day I would say Avengers Endgame and Man of Steel. But then I forget about Superman (70s) and The Dark Knight.

I wish I never opened this thread now.....! :D

I'd probably have The Matrix in there, but as for the other, cod knows!

The Matrix does seem to have been a popular pick, maybe because of how it took the real world leap in mobile and internet technology in the late 90s and weaved it into the narrative.
