what more?
Climate control, heated electric seats etc, depending on which model of Mondeo you buy of course. They're far better specified across the range than the Focus though.

Scrap it, don't get a mondeo, you don't even get 7 seats. Get this
Ford Galaxy loads more for your money...
Actually just get this Audi A8, comes with Sat Nav, full leather electric and heated seats, climate control, cruise control etc... More car for your money![]()

Are you usually this dense, or are you putting in a special effort for today?

Im very happy with my Focus, 1.6, i found Ghia or Lx the best options to go for. Its plenty enough power to get about, cheap to run and maintain as well.
You're being pretty stupid now considering running costs on a Mondeo are identical to a Focus, the only difference is slightly more tax and a small drop in MPG. For me the Mondeo was £500 more a year to insure so I bought the Focus but for others the difference is nowhere near as steep.
You were arguing the toss over £39.56 extra for tyres. Now you are trying to say the running costs of a 2.0 mondeo are the same as a 1.6 focus?

Not really, you said the difference was enough to pay for a set of tyres on the Focus, it isn't.

And you said a 2.0 mondeo is the same cost to run as a 1.6 focus. IT ISN'T.
Least I wasn't hundreds of pounds out. I also selected a very good brand of tyre, you can get decent hankooks for under £50 a corner, but I genuinely cannot be bothered to get you a link.
Oil and filter the same, brake discs/pads the same etc. All that stands is insurance, the difference is negligible for some people (insurance for me is odd because I live in the UK equivalent of Basra) and you spend £5.80 a month extra on VED. So all you have to deal with is a tiny increase in fuel consumption but you get a newer generation of car with more power and more equipment.
LX is the base model for the 1.6 engined cars?!
Get the zetec or the ghia - the zetec seats in the MK1 and MK2 are both very nice, I owned a MK1 zetec 1.6 for over a year as my first car, did over 20k miles and can report the seats are as comfortable as anything, even on long journeys. Stafford to Salcombe was no issue.
In fact, they're better than the seats in my BMW by virtue of the fact they actually hold you in place too - even slow roundabouts in the bmw leads to getting up close and personal with your passenger.
Edit: The zetec springs are soft as **** too - I can only begin to imagine how much roll you get on non-zetec springs.
