What car is this from??

I think there's a good chance that it's from a car not available on this market, so if you're trying to get one from scrap you might need a trip to the states!

If i can identify it then i guarentee i can get one from any part of the world - but i need to know what to get first!

I think plenty of people have put plenty of effort in to find this gearbox..... pray tell why you need to know?

If if it is off something for the US market why not just get an auto from over here?

Also, where did you get the picture from? I found that very same pic on the web from a driving school website, is that where you had it from?

I have said why i need to know - because i want to get hold of one of the shifter mechanisms for a project im working on.

I found the pic on the driving school website too.

I've given up looking, closest I got was with infiniti but not this one, found the same pic on quite a few websites though lol.

Wont the multitude of similar shift mechanisms found so far be OK? Why this one? Especially given you've never seen the one pictured except for that one photo on the web.

Because they are not all the same, in fact shifters vary wildly from pattern to throw, also i require certain attributes for my project, which that particular one fills, hence why i wanted that one!

Thanks to the chaps who located it in an Accord, having the display on left or right doesnt matter :)

The circa 2000 model Accord had a wierd gate setup, with a tiptronic type function. Deffo not the same as the original pic.

It's not an Accord. Not the 98-03 generation anyway. The shape of the centre console, cubby holes, lighter socket etc is different, I'd have thought this is blatantly obvious from the advert pictures others have posted.. :p
