What Car?

You do realise a fatal flaw in your plans to fool everyone...wind resistance (the 106 is a brick basically) and surface condition. The wobble from the road and the wind would make taking one hand off the wheel a very stupid mistake, quite possibly your last.

As for the photo, someone's been playing behind his dash.

And as for a car, if you want something quicker than your ever so awesome 106 for £5k that's easily insurable, I doubt you'll find anything.

Don't really have a problem with wobble as i have stiffened lowered suspension, and wind has trouble getting under the car due to that as you can see in this pic -

I can pick up a good condition scooby for under £5k easily.

Not quite what I meant about the wind. I mean that a 106 is a brick of a car and can't cut through the air very well at all. I had a 306, and the wind resistance that had was immense at higher speeds. Driven my sister's older 106 too, again loads of wind resistance.

Stiffening the suspension will make the vibrations from the road worse not better.

As for a Subaru, if that's what you want and can afford to buy and run, why not get one? :)

EDIT: You appear to be missing a bumper and front number plate. :p

Main reason i like the 106 GTI is because it's understated, people think it's a done up 106 1.1 etc... until you pull away from them all :p

Bumper was missing as i was doing the headlights :P

Got silver Ecosse dails in there now with red bulbs behind, looks quite snazzy, will take some more pix once i've changed the bulbs as some are faded.
