What cpu paste is recommended

Been using SYY recently, only negative its not as spreadable as some

I found its pretty difficult to remove recommend to do stress to get it heated up before removing to make it easier, I thought I was wanna pull the cpu out of its socket took patience , also used it on GPU and took very long time to remove

I've just tried the Alphacool Apex, seems decent, can't really give you a numbered result compared to others but so far the CPU is running pretty good with it

I still have a huge syringe of Arctic Ceramique probably it's well over a decade old. Even when heated it cements Ryzen AM4 CPUs to the heatsink so I only use it when I know I can easily take the heatsink back off without damaging pins.

Recently I used MX-4 and it provided great temps with my watercooled 5950X plus it was relatively easy to remove the heatsink after a while. The small syringe it comes in means it doesn't last long but not a big deal for occasional use.
still got some artic silver somewhere bet its right manky now

think its about 15 years old

Arctic silver 5, been using it for 25 years or more (well arctic silver anyway). I used some last night for a Ryzen 5600 under a DH-14 cooler.

The heatsink released from the old 1700 after a six year stint after running the CPU temp up with several cinebench renders. Again with Artic silver.

ptm 7950 is almost as good as liquid metal and it gets better with time. don't have to redo it unless you separate the heatsink from IHS. One time I didn't clean it though and just reused it since it would only be a couple days until new heatsink came and it didn't miss a beat. it's some good stuff. dropped it in 6950xt and some Upsiren UX pro for everything else and temps dropped 5c+.

Yeah SYY has amazing performance and longevity, though I'd never buy it again as it takes me 10 times as long to spread, compared to MX6. MX6 is my go to these days, cheap, great performance, spreads in seconds.
