What did you do to your bike today?

I went out for a few hours. First I went shopping on the bike, then afterwards thought I would pop to Rykas at Box Hill. I've never seen it so busy. It was mad. I only popped there for a coffee and food so decided the queues were too long and rode out again.

Did a 150 mile calimoto loop, and my goodness, you can see the weekend warriors are back out - had a number of idiots completely ****s up an overtake; zero planning, they just ended up hurtling towards me on my side of the effin road!

Other than these eejits, had a lovely ride, and zero plod

Normally I'd have noticed a few more biker down/rip posts in the local FB groups after this weekend as is usual on the first nice one of the year when all the Rossi wannabes who haven't ridden in 6 months reappear (I'm only one of those 2 things these days before @Diddums starts :D) but thankfully not seen any so far.

We went to West Mids Safari park on Saturday which takes us through one my the nicest biking areas locally so as you can imagine I was like a dog trapped in the car watching all the bikes go past :o Only seen a couple of dodgy moves and they were all by cars just completely ignoring bikes and pulling out.

I was coming back from Oxsted (in the car) on Sunday and let the magic of Waze direct me as I wanted to avoid anything to do with the M25 closure and it took me via Boxhill, which got me very jealous of all the bikers out, everyone was riding sensibly and slow though, very boring :p

The A24 is plastered with average speed cameras.

Traffic yesterday was an absolute nightmare near me over the weekend due to the M25 closure. All the local routes were jammed so I got a lot of filtering practice. Sweeping past dozens of cars on one go is majestic :) It's becoming harder to get anywhere in a car recently so the bike makes a refreshing difference.
