What did you do......

I didn't know, purely because I don't care for any information about it, if it's in the paper I skip it, if it's on the internet news feeds I don't click on it or read it and I don't watch TV.
Quite a simple concept really, but mostly based on the part that I don't care at all for it ;)

I think I slept.

So you also missed every banner proclaiming the wedding outside pubs, the bunting, everybody talking about it.......and the simple fact that it was a bank holiday.

I can understand that you don't care for it, but that you didn't know......I don't believe that.

It's the whole non-conforming thing. People go out of their way to say they don't care about the Royal Wedding, don't eat at McDonalds, etc. We all know it's ****.

I had it on in the background while I did other things. Glad I did, as I planned to avoid it altogether.

No one cares! And I bet you have/would ;)

Just like watching the wedding...

I'm quite sure no-one cares :) I don't eat there though. There's always somewhere better.

The wedding was on in our house, because my wife wanted to watch it. My mum and dad went for a long walk specifically to avoid it though, I'm sure plenty of people didn't watch it.

What is it you think I didn't know?
That it was happening at all, or the dates.

Edit: It was the date of the event, thought I'd make that clear, I knew it was happening but never delved into the informative part that told me when.

So me not caring is ****? (Insert any 4 letter expletive)
Is it that hard to imagine? I really liked the bit about going out of my way, like it took any effort on my part to not do it ;)

Did you wonder where the Bank Holiday suddenly appeared from?

Were you completely divorced from all outside indications, advertisements, gossip, conversation and the constant news and media coverage?

Seems unlikely you didn't know that Friday was Wedding Day, unless like I said, you lived in a metaphorical hole....

You are set against not believing me, I shouldn't need to explain.
You're smart enough to figure out multitudes of reasons why this is the case.

A beer festival which had a nice theme. Have you ever seen will and Kate looking like this

It also had a page introduction which said something along the lines of:

We come here today to celebrate the union of avid drinkers and real ale, if anyone should wish to object there are commercialised carbonated lathers available.

Went on like this for an entire page, which i had the leaflet it made me giggle.

Also did another beer festival yesterday and having a picnic today, got to make the most of this weekend.

I spent most of the day in Madrid, and flew back to Gatwick after everything had long finished - it was slightly concerning the number of Spaniards dressing up as the couple etc. though...
