Hey , I got my maths and english exams next week!!! eeekkk!!! and I was wondering if any of you guys remember your grades and how well your gcse's affected what your doing now ?

I could spell the word FUDGE with my grades. :)

And for the record my GCSE's haven't affected my life in the slightest. I'm the best cleaner that maccy d's has ever had! :p

The latter was a joke ;)

Your English exam is already messed up! I'd just stay in bed if I was you!

Nee naa nee naa! Grammar police at your service!

Physical Education - A
Graphic Design - A
English Language - B
English Literature - They wouldn't let me take it as I always fell asleep in the lessons
Maths - B
Double Science - CC
French - C
RE - C
IT - E

I got 1 A, equal amounts of B's and C's and 1D. Did my A-Levels, went to uni, got a degree in Journalism. Now working in the emissions trading industry. Grades will only get you so far, the rest is about networking.

I genuinely could spell FUDGE with mine :)

Yet I am in a fantastic career path and paid very well...

Hard work goes a long way.

Your GCSEs, although not the most important thing in life, can come and bite you in the bum, so revise hard and do as well as you can.

Good luck :)

I worked hard and got 11A*s. Did it affect what I'm doing now? Definitely. Good GCSEs mean you get to do the A levels you want, and good A levels get you into a good university. And decent GCSE grades look good on your university application and CV.

I came out of high school with no qualifications, i skipped school more often than went.

After 4 year bumming about taking minimum wage jobs...worked at Chessington world of adventures etc, I then went to collage, 6 years later I was holding my degree, so wish I had stuck in at school.

I was a bit of a waster in school and never bothered with coursework which pretty much screwed me over in the end. Still got onto a decent college course (level 3) and all has been alright.

Was a bit surprised after leaving school how easy it was to get onto a decent college course though, they make it out like GCSE's are a massive deal which is just not true. A lot of courses be it university or college say about having a GCSE in Maths or English but when you inquire about it they don't really give a ****.

Oh right I forgot to list my grades, uhm I don't remember most but I think I got one C, a D and the rest E-F with one U in technology.

This. Except not as many A's, unfortunately :(
