1989 MG Metro that I bought to learn to drive in. Passed test in 91 IIRC. Back then your mates could sit in and instruct you.

S plate Clio 1.2 for first half of lessons, V plate Clio 1.4 for the remainder. Didn't notice a difference between the two engines at all.

Depends on how you look at it - first vehicle I learnt clutch control in was an old P100 pickup (can't remember if it was a Cortina or Sierra variant, think it was Cortina), in the yard where my dads garage is. Then when it came to learning on the road I got a D Reg Metro 1.0 which I learnt in and passed my test in. I had one lesson in the instructors (at the time) late Metro but couldn't drive it that well, after all it needed the suspension pumping up (so steering was heavy) and the clutch was about shot. Used my car and it was no problem. Did it up when I'd passed and had it for about 2 years or so, loved it!

Im learning in a red new shape fiesta, im in it on sunday ill get some details from it, its very nice and very easy to drive, clutch can be a ***** sometimes.

1 litre corsa. Was a shocking car and I hated driving it compared to my folks clio. Still, it did the job and I learned to drive so it cant all be bad.
