What do I do? (another eBay thread)

i wouldnt buy a book from somebody with no feedback. never mind a £400+ console, you should have bought one of the others being sold by someone with some ebay history. I would not expect to receive it sorry.

Was more a rush of blood to be honest. Was searching on eBay with 'Time newly listed' on to see if I could get any deals. Found it and Bought it too quickly without giving it any thoughts as I didn't want to lose out on it.

I don't think Royal mail tracking updates as the parcel moves through their network, only once the item has been delivered, of course I could be wrong.

Usually update it when its out for delivery and once its been delivered. Give RM a call and see what the score is. He may of missed last postage on Saturday so it will be getting sent out today for delivery on Tuesday. If that's the case the tracking information won't show up until early tomorrow morning.

As above I wouldn't be too disheartened about rm tracking. It's pretty much useless. Quite a few times I've had it update the day after it was delivered. So I'm guessing they do it in batches or something rather than just live updating.

Popped off an email to his PayPal email earlier. Didn't think much of it but ended up getting this reply.

"Hi, Ebay blocked account because i had 2 accounts, therefore banning paypal. Please ask them to give the money back as it's on hold in account.
Sorry for inconvenience Ebays fault as they are a bunch of morons."

It's obviously a fail of a scam. I'd love to ask why he provided a tracking number if it wasn't even sent but while I have a reply i'll just forward it to eBay and be done with it.

So frustrating... eBay can't escalate the case until the 11th if the seller doesn't respond. Which he never will because they have told me he is no longer a member on eBay. Even with proof from an email from the seller telling eBay to refund me they still won't escalate the case. pffff

If you payed by card just ask your bank to do a chargeback.

lets hope he doesn't do the close account/unlink bank card that everyone advises to do on this forum every time..... :P

That doesn't stop people getting their money back, it just means that it comes out of PayPal's pocket if they choose to reverse the payment.

So wait even though OP will get his money back does this mean the seller gets to keep their money if they quickly withdrew their funds to a bank account and unlinked bank account from PayPal?

Anyone know if there is a way to get my money back quicker? So annoying knowing I have to wait until the 11th for the seller to reply which I know for a fact he won't. Then even after the 11th i'm sure there will be more things to sort out.

If you paid with your credit card then you would be able to chargeback. However it's likely Paypal will permanetely close the account associated with it. Otherwise you will have to wait.
