What do I do? (another eBay thread)

Not tried calling them, suppose I could try it and see if I get lucky. Paid via PayPal which comes from my bank account.

Just wow, so much newbiness in 1 thread!

Ok a few life rules: Never link your bank account to Paypal. Always pay via Credit Card in Paypal. Never buy something worth > £10 from someone with 0 feedback on eBay.

I thought everyone online knew this:confused::eek::(

I though I'd use this thread to add my fun and games rather than start a fresh one.

I sold the below phone:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=151233179489&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123

Now he has opened a dispute with the following message:

"hello I bought Nokia lumia 620from u it's locked phone .why?."

I really hate stupid people. I will assume that he will get his refund......

Does say twice in the descriptions on the same page that it is unlocked though.

It dosn't actually. It says in the copy and pasted product information that it is Sim unlocked. But in the sellers description it clearly says the phone is operator locked.

The seller should have altered the copy and pasted info to reflect the fact that the phone is locked though.

well, it's your fault anyway to submit a listing that mentions unlocked anywhere.

You are not forced to put the product details/specs that eBay suggest in your listing.

That is true. In part my fault. I can't believe he didn't read the item description detail. As above, I'll see how it goes. I don't mind if it gets returned, just a hassle.

I don't tend to include that stuff as it creates a massive gap between the top of the page and your actual description! You should get it back, even if the item is not as described you should have the option of requesting a return, although if eBay/PayPal do decide it was a case of not being as described I can see them asking you to cover the cost of return postage.

Why not give him a partial refund for the amount it would cost him to unlock it.

It's optional and customisable.

for some products, use of catalogue is required. Had listing taken down because of that. Someone must have reported me though as there were many other that didn't have it included, including my other one for the same item.

Items that must be listed using our catalog

To help buyers find the product they want, items in certain categories must be listed using our product catalog. See a list of current categories, as well as those that will be added in the future.

something tells me that a bright spark like this who obviously did not read the part of the listing I typed myself will somehow brick the phone if I get him to try and unlock it.
