What do my O2 Broadband stats look like?

I moved from Be* to O2. What sort of speeds do you get with Be*? If you go through quidco you will get £50.00 cashback for moving to o2. At the time I moved to O2 because I got £100 cashback on the £10.00 month deal + 2 free months.

EDIT: My line is stable with the 3db profile. :)

I currently get 10 down and 1.3 up, although with a DG834GT and DGteam firmware I've had 13meg down!

Did your speed improve at all? What's their Wireless II router like for signal strength in general?

VERY simple. just explained that I was happy to monitor the stability of my line and she changed without any questions!

I'm starting to hate my line :(
It's gone from everything working fine and me getting a nice steady speed, to it suddenly getting lots of noise ... but only on the UPLOAD side of things :(

Quickest way is to have a quick read around here...

Basically i'd expect you to be getting 17mb and up. Connect to the test socket - http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/lowSNR.htm

Read a few posts up, #45 is at 31db att. (longer line) and syncs at 15mb. ;)

Also ask your ISP to put you on the default SNR (6db) your sat at 10db for some reason, this will lower your sync speeds.

See what you get. :)

Isn't that normal ADSL? You won't get any more than 8 megs on that connection type. I'd be demanding a refund for all months you've paid for the 20meg package (sale of goods act etc).

Also the other 3 bolded lines aren't good. Should have minimal error seconds and no losses of signal. Suggests problems with the line.

Connected to the master socket and microfilters being properly used?

edit: I'm right, it should be G.992.5

I'm not connected to the master socket because of the set up in our house and the fact the missus is a bit fussy about visible wires and routers!

I'll connect to the test socket tonight and see what happens but if what Ghost says is true then I'll only get 8megs anyway because of the DSL type (though that wiki entry says upto 12meg)

After that I've done that I'll speak to O2 about my DSL type and get my package changed and maybe some money refunded. Though I got 3 months free and I pay a discounted rate because I'm an O2 mobile customer so it will only be about 6 months at £2.50. Not sure I want to go through the hassle for £15!

ETA: I love this forum... everyone is so helpful (most of the time)!

Connected to the test socket as suggested. Old results quoted, new ones below. No errors anymore so my extension is clearly a bit dodgy! Might have to leave it connected to the master and go wireless with the xbox.
