What do you call your computers

First thing that came to mind when naming them, i have pc's named "portege", "dellbeast", "core2", "dvdplayer" etc etc.

Diefenbaker - My main PC - 'cause it's cool, and so is the wolf. ;)
Yoshi - My spare old PC - 'cause it's small and awesome. :)
Voot Cruiser - My PDA phone - 'cause I like Invader Zim. :)

Mine are currently named after characters from the David Eddings Belgariad series.

HTPC's are named after female characters and the rest after male characters.

Not a brilliant series of books...but then I've gone off Eddings, he's quite samey with his books. :)

At work we have a name-server so that we don't have to remember IP addresses.

All the machines have to be named, and have a static IP assigned.

We each have naming conventions. Someone named a load after minerals a few years back, which is annoying as they are hard to spell. Some are Chinese names, the chapters of the art of mathematics I believe, these are even harder to spell. The storage I inherited all has food names.

I name machines I commission after computers and robots from film, radio and literature. Such as marvin and deepthought from the hitchhikers guide, glados from portal, and robbie and speedy, 2 robots from Issac Asimov's book of short stories called "I, Robot".

Well at least you've not done what DreamHost did and called one of their mail servers "Spunky" :o
