As title, really.

I used to eat a lot of cereal for breakfast but I've recently switched to a gluten free diet. I've tried gluten free cereals and found them to be expensive and not particularly tasty.

So I'm in need of some alternative breakfast suggestions. I eat a lot of fruit but it's nowhere near filling enough to set me up for the day. Eggs disagree with me and bacon/sausages are too fatty to eat daily.

So, what do you eat for breakfast? Can you recommend a filling, non-gluten, non-egg, non-fried breakfast?

I usually dont eat a breakfast when I first get up. Usually either not hungry enough or cant be bothered to make anything.

If you want something healthy, I'd recommend a bowl of suger free cereal and semi-skimmed milk. Or a couple of slices of toast with low fat spread.

I eat nothing for Breakfast as well.

I usually can't be bothered to make anything or I never have enough time to make anything tasty like bacon, eggs etc.

I'm really slow in the mornings.

Monday to Friday?

Bowl of own-brand Shreddies with a few spoons of fruit musili and skimmed milk.

Or swap Shreddies for Special K.

Weekends - whatever takes my fancy or whatever we have.

I normally have a bowl of porridge with some blueberries and grapes chucked in and topped off with a sprinkle of Jordans rolled oat cereal for some crunch.

I always eat breakfast.

1 slice of brown bread
2 poached eggs
Medium/large serving of scrambled eggs

Sometimes if I'm feeling a little hungrier than usual I'll have 2 weetabix as well, and if I'm feeling naughty I'll swap one of the poached eggs for a fried one and add a piece of bacon.

It helps that it's all sitting there in a servery every morning...

In answer your question (as opposed to describing everything you cannot eat or do not enjoy)

gluten free oats? 50g of oats cooked in a half & half milk and water mix. At the end add a spoonful of honey and 50g of dried seeds/nuts/dried fruit. Keeps you going till elevenses.

Porride - Monday, Wedneday, Thursday and Friday
Muffin Top - Tuesday
Saturday - Starbucks Paninni...
Sunday - er, depends.

2 wholemeal toasts and soft cheese / scrambled eggs / omelette / no sugar peanut butter (whatever takes my fancy). Bacon added to the previous at the weekend! I hate cereal but will eat it purely to keep me going throughout the day if there is nothing else about!

If I'm at home then 2 weetabix & muesli with semi skimmed milk. If I'm working away then most of the time I'll have a full english.

Eggs most days for me. Scrambled with wholemeal toast as a rule, poached as Eggs Benedict if I've woken up early or a quick omelette and a slice of toast if I'm running late.

Or porridge and maple syrup if I've forgotten to buy eggs.

Taking on board that you feel that gluten-free cereal is expensive and tasteless, have you tried jazzing it up with other things?

Something like GF granola, topped with (GF) yoghurt, fruit and a drizzle of honey perhaps?

I normally eat Mon-Fri: A bowl of cereal (depends what) and a slice of toast. Though now it's: A bowl of cereal, a yogurt and a banana

Saturday: Sausage sandwich
Sunday: Something like croissants, pain au chocolat or brioche (in the oven for a few mins)

Cereal every day at my desk at work. Have about 10 different packs so just have what I fancy on the morning, ranging from Cornflakes to Krave to Fruit n Fibre.
