You have a micro-ATX mobo going into a fulltower. I'm guessing you've basketed the wrong mobo? ;) (or the wrong case)

Oh, and welcome to the forums.

How much do you want to spend?

No, it's just not as good or as feature packed as full size ATX boards. Plus you limit yourself on future upgrades. Basically you need an ATX mobo if you're getting a fulltower case.

The Asus P5QL Pro Intel P43 is a solid motherboard and great value now.

EDIT: Just out of interest what are you going to be using it for? Because if you dropped the SSD you could get an i7 build.

The one you chose is good but for that money it worth it to jump in the i7 range.
Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail £225.99
Asus P6T Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £178.99
OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 Low-Voltage Triple Channel (OCZ3G1333LV6GK) £62.99
OCZ StealthXStream 500w Silent ATX2 Power Supply £48.99
Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD5001AALS) £48.99
Leadtek GeForce GTX 260 EXTREME+ "Core 216 55nm" 896MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £135.99
Coolermaster Elite 335 Case - Black (No PSU) £32.99
Total:£733
(eee the SSD are way too pricey and the one you chose isn.t that good if you do not raid them, Can shave some money off the mobo and GFX)

Thanks guys! I didnt go for a i7 as I feel it will be overkill, but its always good to be future proof. Im mainly going to use it for video encoding, it will be used to play media and also run games from the SSD.

It would be overkill but you could make the same arguement for the SSD.

The adavantge of the i7 is that it is future proof and games will not make full use of the SSD's capabilities. (mind you they wont make full use of the i7 either)

However, you're build is a solid spec, once you change the mobo, and if you want a SSD for the fun of it then get one. No better reason.

You just have to decide what you want from your build - or perhaps better; would be for you to explain what you want from your build. What's most important to you and how tight is money as an SSD is a real luxury?

Good idea - now you need to ask yourself whether you pocket that saving or future proof your build?

Remembering, that the spec you posted already will run all games without breaking a sweat.

Will the mobo and case I picked just not go together, Im considering the same motherboard but a different case, maybe an Antec p182 as its a super midi tower case, as I have limited space a smaller case may be better suited!

Thanks wise guys for all your help, Im picking different parts all the time from your suggestions, thanks for all the help!!

For around your budget, you can go the i7 route. I wouldn't bother with that motherboard in your original spec.

The P182 is an excellent case though. :D
