What do you use for SPOTS ?

Drink lots of water, keeps the skin moisturised and full of minerals.
Works for me. Never had acne but I do get a very faint greasy flares of what could be horrible acne if I'm not careful. And the odd big one that ends up on the end of my nose or chin.

I stay away from eating completely junk food, have the odd healthy meal now and again as well as drink plenty of water. I used to NEVER drink water but now that I have started drinking it regularily while at work my skin really does look much better, less greasy too and my lips arn't cracked like they used to be.

I usually just wash my face with water and a few times a week use the clearisil stuff as it is pretty sensitive on my skin (I found that using it daily didn't help or made it worse). It dries it MAJORLY which is why I don't use it often and it seems to work best.

Also one of the main and most important things is DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE. When I'm at work and my hands are slightly dirty off moving boxes, if I rub my face or something it will get itchy, so I'll scratch it and that area that I've irrited flares up into a few really horrible spots.

If you can just keep away from touching it and getting stuff in your skin it will help.

If you shave, make sure you use aftershave properly, its not just for a nice smell you know. It has a purpose, use it to close the paws (sp?) in your skin to stop dirt getting in.

Main points I can think of is just keep it clean, dry with a clean towel and don't rub your face, especially after shaving.

If it's not sorted in time for your holiday, I'm afraid the only answer is.........

you hardly need a medical degree to work out that a good wash or some of that clearasel stuff is the best way to get rid of em
If it is actually acne, that's probably the worst thing you can do. Washing lots and using **** like Clearasil will just aggravate the skin and make it worse. All it will do is make your skin realllly dry. If it's not bad I wouldn't worry about it, it'll probably clear up when you go on holiday anyway.

Get a drill and a wire brush attachment. That will get the blighters off. Don't worry about the ragged lump of flesh that used to be your face... chicks dig scars... :D

Probably not going to believe me here, but it really does work.
Go to the chemist and ask for some "metanium," its actually nappy rash cream, but it works a treat, the spot will be a lot less noticeable if you put it on before you go to bed and leave it overnight, dont rub it in, just get a blob and put it on the spot and leave it.
Works brilliantly for me every time :D

Drink lots of water, and only water.

Take a good multi-vitamin.

Use facewash and moisturiser morning and night.

Also try not to iritate your skin by rubbing it or scratching, picking, etc. :)

SPOTS..basicly. In highschool i had a bad case of acne which has pretty much cleared itself up now and theres not a lot you can do to prevent them.

But im getting a few flare ups and im wondering what everyone uses? I dont trust the adverts where the girl has one spot and the magic cream removes it in 1 day

Ive got 2 weeks before i go on holiday so what does everyone swear by? Fruit? Face wash? Cream?

Help pls!

Dunno if you've tried it yet but if you havent you can always go to the chemist for some benzoyl peroxide 10% (its cheap, like £2 or somethin) what it does is strips away the top layer of skin basically stopping the acne process. It can take a few weeks to start working though and can cause irritation (comes in 5% and mebbe less too for sensitive skin) so go have a word with a pharmacist.

I rarely get spots but when i have had them standard oxy stuff as advertised seems to get rid of them over night. If you apply before bed its always gone by the morning?

Pretty much second what has been said, in particular for me though (I tend to get more occasional but very nasty spots) drinking lots of water, that really does help. Avoid touching your face is also good advice. I quite frequently wash my face and tend to use just pure cold water (especially with it being hot at the moment, might not be nice in winter). I also use those facial flannels, supposed to open pores or something, definately feels different immadiately after use. Best to let it set in for a while (ie, not immediately lie with a pillow on your face). And something I haven't tried, but I notice spots seem to appear where your face had rested on the pillow at night. I reckon a silk pillow case would help, if such a thing exists.

Just drink lots of water and wash your face with cold water regularly.

Yeah, that works for me too. Unless you have a serious problem I wouldnt worry about the fancy creams. 'Regularly' means several times a day though, but then in summer time I want to do that anyway :)
