What does everybody do here?

I'm control room operator for a big delivery firm that sounds like it sings in mountains.

I run the prime sorry machine, organise the trailers and movements in the yards, and book in/out divers.

I teach medical students at a large university hospital in South London. You might have seen some of my ex-students ripping Jeremy Hunt's lies to pieces in news interviews on tv recently....
I'm also a private tutor in GCSE/A-level Biology, and medical degree entrance exam and interview preparation.

Manager for a global pharmaceutical company. Basically that means that after 10 years studying (BSC, PhD and post-doc) I now spend my time in meetings, pushing paper and dealing with "people management" issues. I'm about to change role though so hopefully I can get back to actually doing some real science again.

IT industry "Pre-Sales"

Just left a large multi-national with a Pan-Emea position to work in a related (UK only) position with a MUCH smaller company :D

Was fed up with living in airports and aluminum tubes!

I'm a Student Paramedic with a very big NHS Ambulance Trust in the West Midlands. Currently practicing at Ambulance Technician level, should be going to Uni later this year to start the Paramedic course.

If anyone's interested, my employers are recruiting more Student Paramedics. Details on the NHS Jobs website.

I'm a data centre supervisor 80% of my time and an Infrastructure Engineer for the other 20% doing project work and looking after our Citrix environment.

I also run a FB page and website doing drawing/creative/artisty stuff for people. Pencil drawings, paintings, furniture etc.

If only i could get the pay of my main job while doing the work of the second... :( :D

One day.

Career change from the Security industry to the London Ambulance service as an Emergency ambulance crew. Hoping to get onto the internal Paramedic training course.

Welder/fabricator, tho I'm off work all this week after having surgery on my right shoulder last week.

Ex RAF Police NCO

Now been retired for the last 10years on Medical Grounds after serving for 18yrs due to sustaining a spinal injury.

Served as a Police Dog Handler for 7yrs of the 18 but after suffering a major knee injury was made to move across to standard Police duties.

2nd Line Support at a Law firm. It's decent and I like it here, my path is to move up to 3rd Line but I don't have the required skills yet. As far as I know we're going to be changing to an 'Application Support' team (so being more involved with the Development side of the apps), so we'll see how that pans out generally and for my prospects!

I would study work stuff in my own time but I don't really have the time as A) most of my focus is to be a rock star with my band :p and B) any other spare time I have I'm doing online courses in Illustrator/Photoshop as that's something that's really grabbed me in the last few months. Whether it stays a hobby or something more serious in the future that's for me to figure out I guess.
