[ ] - what does this mean in a username?

Clans? Really? Have 'clan' members actually met other clan members (I mean physically - not ephemerally)?

Absolutely, met most of the members of my old-old clan, we used to go over to one chap's house when it was a bank holiday weekend and have a BBQ.
Met a couple of the guys from my old (current but everyone left when the CSS Beta came out) clan and we meet up when we can.

Yes.

Uh, yes.

Without wanting to sound like a broken record, yes.

If it's uncool then why do [you] feel it necessary to advertise your clan?

Because it's not about whether it is cool or not (hint : it's not, and I'm sure there are far better ways to be cool on the internet), it's a name, a tag, nothing more . It's no different than your chosen, made up online name, except it means the person belongs to a group of like-minded gamers.

Cheers for jumping on board though :)

You're welcome :)

No, I'm not 10 years old - I wish I were, but unfortunately I'm quite a bit older than that :o.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was just a little surprised that anyone on the internet isn't familiar with tags but that probably says more about my Quake and UT days than it does about normal people on the internet :D

Used to play for 31st Airborne Division, Day of Defeat clan (before Source arrived).

[31st-AD]Pestilence reporting for duty, sir!

Was a Kar whore extraordinaire... had my fair share of cheating accusation and all sorts because of it. Quit playing after Uni when I moved to England and real life took over. :(

Used to have drinking sessions etc. with some good mates in that clan over webcam. Lost touch with pretty much everyone now.
