What does your window cleaner do?

£2.60! You are lucky he even turns up!!

We pay ours £01 to clean 4 front windows and sills, glass on the front door, 1 side window and 2 back window, which he climbs over the fence to do.
 
ours is around £5 he cleans 5 front plus porch, 4 back plus back door and climbs on extension roof for one window. my gfs dad is good chums with him though.
 
Our window cleaner charges £3 and only does the rear or the house. I'm actually thinking of getting rid of him, as I'll do it myself and save £70 a year.
 
Posh lot, get a ladder and clean them when they're dirty.

Added bonus you can see any damage that needs looking at before it gets bad and as you have the ladder and are used to using it the guttering gets a look at a damn sight more often than it would.

Well, I don't make him do them :)

He does the whole street. Has done even before we moved in here 10+ years ago.

So far, i seem to be getting a lot of "you should be grateful for £2.60" or "Do them yourself".

I'm not sure I *should* be grateful to pay someone who knocks on the door £2.60 a fortnight for effectively nothing.

Even if he did the glass well (he doesnt), I still have to clean the frames myself so it defeats the object of having someone do it for me.

Me and heights don't see eye to eye, but I like the idea of the long reach cleaning brush though which may be a good alternate. Do they work well?

EDIT: Remember, the £2.50 is only to clean 3 small windows at the front of the house. It takes him < 5 minutes to do them all.
 
I'm amazed at the amount of people on here that allow junkies and bums to clean their Windows for crack money.

Buy a squidgee and do it yourself!

No wonder Britain is falling apart :D
 
Mine charges £6 1 bay 7 windows. Said he can do the inside for another £6 if we wish.

Doesnt do the frames but will ask next time he's here

£2.60 is an absolute joke and a big insult to the guy and other window cleaners out there tbh.

life is way too short to clean your own windows every month.
 
i had a little test going on with my window cleaner, he didnt know
he CAME 2 times a month and cleaned only the front 6 windows as the back is unreachable from the front.
i noticed that he would come round, i would be in work and not know he had been. i would look at the windows but they were not very clean.
so i used my finger on the front room window and wrote " **** window cleaner " and waited for him to knock next time. he did, before i payed him i told him i wanted to check them, so we did, oh whats this is said, he looked and even repeated it out **** window cleaner " lol
i just do it myself now
 
Iam a window cleaner!
For a start hes to cheep £2.60? i wouldn't even touch my ladders for that price lol. Most houses i do are about £7/£10 and i have a few which are £15+, what u get for this is all the windows cleaned by hand not by that pole system and the window sills cleaned. The windows are smear free and nice and shiney.
I do this over a 6 week period.
 
We have like 32 windows if you include the patio doors. I do them myself, doesn't take long. You guys should too.
