What EQ do you use in winamp?

I don't use any Player EQ, but use the one on my X-Fi Elite Pro & the Bass & Treble, but only a touch or you do lose detail.
Remember that we are listening to music from a PC & MP3 & will loose some of the dynamics so it needs a little help as i don't use any most of the time when
playing CD`s from my HIFI & Sennheiser HD650

I seriously cannot understand how people can listen to music "untouched" without feeling annoyed.

I *have* to use full bass and treble whenever possible. I even change it when I'm at mates houses because it just sounds pants otherwise. They normally think it makes music sound too sharp however if I then turn it off they go "Oh my god!" and then use it all the time.

It's easy dude!

No Software EQ, No EAX, No CMSS3D, No Crystaliser, 24/192 On, Full Range On, Tone Defeat On = best sound =)

why would you use 24/192 if your such an avid fan of faithful music.....

I am an XFI user, there is an issue in some system configurations of popping or static at random intervals, running in 24/192 mode fixes this issue for many people inc myself but does NOT exhibit any side affects to sound quality at all and it's a hardware mode anyway so you'd not expect any adverse effects.

I'm a PC gamer too so have no choice but to use an XFI for the time being whilst better competition comes out...

As a side note upsampling to 24/192 isn't quite the same as recolouring the sound by adjusting bass/treble or enabling EQ effects which are done by software.

i do know that lol. but it still does alter the sound, whether its hardware or software lol.

better competition is already out. where have you been lol. of course you have a choice to use a different sound card.

Lol I just tried this and you're right, putting full bass/treble then going back to default makes my music sound kinda bland.

it is. ideally, and i mean in a perfect world, you wouldn't need to eq at all. im pretty happy with mine now. very happy infact, but it does need some room compensation. in my old bedroom though, i had to use masses of treble and bass - i just didnt have the room for the speakers to work correctly

Oh, Foobar supports ASIO natively though, I'm using WinAMP which is where the issue lies with compatibility but I prefer WinAMP over anything else because I can control it with

a) my wireless keyboard
b) my mobile phone via bluetooth

So foobar is a no go!
