What film shall we remake next...?

Have to disagree with you Gilly, twas a good film, well made, well researched, well shot. Technically at least it is a very good film i suppose. Of course reactions to it are entirely personal, so whether you like it or not is up to you :). I like it though. I had a choice of 5 films to analyse (can't remember most of them, Momento, Jean de Florette, Magnolia etc), and i had no problem watching the wicker man on loop for 2 days. Also, have you seen the directors cut?, a different film really, much better. Less jerky.

I wasn't talking about the Wicker Man anywhere :/

I just don't understand the obsession with remakes, especially when the originals were classics. I have read lots of great books, many of which I have heard the film rights have been bought by someone (film companies/producers etc) and they never seem to see the light of day.

Ever heard the expression 'New money for old rope'?

It saves the film industry loads of time and money and almost guarantees people will go to see them. People go cos either they dont know its a re-make, want to see if its better than the original. Seeing that the original is usually so good, its not difficult to ****up a new one.

I wonder what a remake of Dog day Afternoon would turn out like. That was a very gritty movie back in the day

A trailer I saw last night...

On the 6th of June (6) 2006 (6)... (see what they did there!!!) the Re-make of 'The Omen' is being released!...

I quite liked the first 2 Omen films No 3 wasn't too bad! (Don't even talk to me about the Modern 'Woman' one!!! )... I just hope they havn't runied it!...
