What games do you wish you could experience for the first time again?

Playing EverQuest in 1999, nothing has come close to capturing the same addiction, play again factor, I miss hell levels, naked corpse runs, high risk factor that all the mmorpg's I've played since lack.

Just the fact that 9 months after release parts of the game world still had not been mapped. (parts of Everfrost, most end game boss lairs etc) is mind boggling compared with the hand it to you on a platter culture of _all_ current mmos.

DPS parsers had not been invented. Some equipment/stats were useless and people effectively had to work this out themselves. People used to beg for buffs.

People had to develop a new language. Mez, CC, Tank, off-Tank etc. The "holy trinity" did not actually refer to Healer + Tank + DPS back then. There were no quest hubs because Everquest had almost no quests past level 10 to begin with [quite possibly the games best feature].

You heard of people in the very first raids losing their copses and GMs refusing to help them get their gear back. Whether it was true or not I did see plenty of max level characters (very hard to get some classes to max) begging after claiming to lose their corpse.

Doubt you will ever see its like again.

Timesplitters without any doubt. So many hours spent with mates on multiplayer and on solo trying to unlock all the extra characters.
Championship Manager 99/00. I've invested more time in CM99/00 than any other game. I would easily play for 8 hours a day when it was released back in the day.
Dragon Quest VIII would be great to play fresh again. A hugely underrated RPG which looked basic and simplistic but was actually pretty extensive and had a fantastic storyline.

FFVIII
MGS series (especially 3, that ending was so powerful)
ICO and Shadow of the Colossus
HL1 and 2 + Episodes
Portal 1 and 2
Uncharted 2 (haven't played 3 yet)

GTA Vice City - Opened my eyes to this type of game and loved every minute of it.

GTA - San Andreas - I was blown away by this game and how massive it was, and there was soo much to do. I knew I was right to take a week off work to play this game solid.

Half-Life 2 - say no more ;)

Full Throttle.

Stalker: SOC.

HardWar

The original C&C

Dark Reign

I-War

Myst (!)

Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed & The Need For Speed.

TFX. Legendary :D

Baldur's Gate 2. I remember a review stating that the 1st 20 hours are a "revelation". This was bang on the money. I got the game during the school holidays and put in multiple 16 hour shifts.

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl - Was my first game of the genre, and had no idea to expect. I want to be scared out of my pants again in the Agropom Underground. Was brilliant not knowing what to expect!

World of Warcraft - basically for the same reasons other have said in this thread. That sense of it being a completely new world etc. They've done well to have players re-gain that feeling with the release of Cataclysm with the massively changed areas etc.

Morrowind - Seyda Neen looked so mysterious, so back of beyond. I loved Morrowind, and was a brilliant, brilliant intro into the game.
