What games first got you into PC gaming ?

Anyone remember marble run on SNES and yes the UT gameplay was immense as well as its soundtrack :D. still listen to it. Also for back in the days when I listened to ministry of sound I really enjoyed
XG3 extreme G racing but the soundtrack for it isnt as enjoyable as it used to be.

It was always going to take something special to get me away from my beloved amiga but those special something's were ultima underworld, wolfenstein and wing commander 2.

PC Gaming ehh? ohh lolz long long time ago played a game called Keef the Thief (5.25 :D) on my parents VGA black n white Monitor

Also played SSI Pools of Radiance at around the same time on same monitor.

EPIC game that was. So i saved and got myself a P60 Pentium with all the trimmings cost me about £1500.. I never looked back since.....

First online would probably Delta Force 2. (that was the first online shooter ive played)

But my online fps life was balls deep in Firearms halflife mod for a few years, ran my own server, adminned for a gaming company and did all sorts....very interactive and active community great fun haha)

1st game probs doom or quake cant remember,
1st online game was duke nukem 3d on wireplay and my parents used to hit the roof when the phone bill came in :p annoying thing was when the phone rang or was used the game used cut off 56k that was the days..

half life and remember getting a pc gamer mag with the tfc addon on the cd and that was me for a good long while playing tfc on wireplay :D

Now I just play COD on ps4.

For me on a Commodore 64 it was Super Scramble that got me hooked on gaming. The second game that I remember fondly was Ikari Warriors (hence the username.) I played that for 100s of hours on Co Op with my cousin finally completing it after he had died just before the finish. (something he still hasn't forgiven me for!) I still play most evenings with my cousin online even though he lives in Germany and that is 26 years later. The PC game that we keep coming back to is Age Of Empires 2, now on the HD Steam version but did everything from Doom to Delta Force games to Unreal Tournament. The one PC game that blew my away and showed me that PC gaming would always be at the top was Farcry. It took 3-4 generations of new graphics card/CPU to get it running spot on but boy did it look and play great!

If Spectrum, Amiga and C64 count then I've no idea which games as I'd been playing those since I was 5 (initially on my Spectrum 48k) and we'd be talking stuff like Chuckie Egg, Bomb Jack, Dizzy, Gauntlet, Elite etc.

Windows based PC I'd say Doom and WarCraft, we had them on the school computer system and played them at lunch / break time.

When I got my own PC after I left school though it was Freespace, Quake and Diablo.

PC gaming was the original share ware version of DOOM on 3.5" disc. Bought a sound card and speakers for the old 386sx machine we had. Yeah, those were the days. Then of course came 7th guest, Rebel Assault and Mechwarrior 2.

When I first started PC gaming it was for Gunship from Microprose. It was not available for the Amiga at the time. I convinced myself I was getting a PC for my college coursework :)
