What GPU is best to go with a Phenom II x6 1045T

better to have them than not have them imo

That's a hoarder mentality

Lack of taste.

lack of independent thinking.

I pity you people. You really think it's good do you?

Even though it's a DLC mod that ads some ridiculous gimmick.

The FO4 game was being created for years by hundreds of personnel. This wall mark mod was created by 1-2 people over 1 working day. Maybe much faster. See difference?

And let's stop calling them effects, cause they aren't. They are mods. No they do not improve or enhance the game. That's what I think.

They change it in the way original developer didn't want to happen, or they would have stuck it on for all cards, not just Nvidia, as Nvidia doesn't have any advantage over AMD computation wise.

These effects look ludicrous, unrealistic.

Also tell me what percentage of time average player walks with that size of chaingun shooting at bare concrete walls in FO4?

You are not really helping the OP with your hate campaign. Maybe give him some advice instead of picking up those who have made genuine recommendations. Move along otherwise!

Now you're being rude. Using your words - you should move along, on this forum, with your hate campaign against AMD, where you always have to add something negative about them. You being you in absolutely every thread with your thousands of posts is hardly a genuine advice.

I am genuinely advising the OP that he won't miss anything by going either Nvidia or AMD, except for the not worthy of mentioning gimmick, always brought up by some people with compulsive disorder that prompts them doing so in every thread.

Speaking about card choice it's not worth buying a card at the moment, because pricing is a bit crazy and current cards are old generation. While new generation will be out in a number of months' time.

Half a year ago one could get a 380 for £120 that was a great price.

Price/Performance wise 280X is the best card, but may be too hot for some, or for OP's PSU.

Hard to advice anything now, because 380/960 are too underpowered and 970 is too expensive for it's capabilities. 390 is a good all rounder, that if you would accept to own another 28nm card after 4.5 years in production

My advice 380 (lowest priced) or 390 or 970 (priced lower than now, or lowest priced) or wait new generation to come soon.

At least you made a recommendation, albeit with a dig thrown in :o Better than what you was doing I guess.

Gotta agree with the recommendations with the 6600. If you are feeling brave a de-lid works wonders for temps.

I must admit I've found Greg to be fairly even when it comes to GPUs.

Gregster - why pay that much for 16GB DDR4 RAM?

I've just bought 16GB DDR3 and it was much cheaper.

I appreciate that getting the best may be better, but is it worth the cash?

That is a DDR4 mobo and again, future proofing. No need to spend that much but if I had the OP'S budget, I would get that build personally.

Decided on the following. What do you think?

Despite what people say about CPU bottlenecks, the fastest possible GPU will always provide a better experience. Only you see MORE performance gain with a faster CPU.

Personally I'd slap a second hand 7970 and in there, wait see what happens with DX12. Still a decent card for 1080 and can be had for beans
