if anyone is interested?

edit: thing is I don't know if that was actually someone from here or not, hadnt been pulsed for a long time

Just joined here, seems loads of fun

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I've 50k keys waiting to pulse but have been getting "invalid token" for the last 12 hours!

I've now got WhatPulse on my work machine too and on my WhatPulse control panel screen I've set up another profile - intending to use one for home and one for work.

I might have grabbed the wrong end of the stick about the whole 'profiles' business, but how do I ensure that clicks on my work PC go to the work profile? Or bearing in mind that I'm the only person that uses both machines and obviously never use both simultaneously, should I not bother about it?

Don't worry about profiles if your not using the latest beta.

If you are then,
in control panel make 2 profiles

one called "work and one called "home"

on the work computer when you install WhatPulse you should enter your normal account username and password then use the profile "work"

do the same for home but use the "home" profile.

This will mean you have 2 different sub-profiles that goes into your one main profile ( which everyone sees how many keys you have typed and how many times you have clicked the mouse etc etc )

Hope this helps a little bit,

any other probs just give us a shout :)

Alright, I just signed up for Whatpulse and it seems to be working nicely. I have a question about mouse distances. How does it know how far your cursor has traveled if you've never entered in the size of your monitor? Is it just making an estimation based on a common size, i.e. 17" or is there something more subtle afoot?

Ah, cheers Mark - that explains it then ... I read what somebody said earlier in the thread about the beta causing a slight stuttering of their machine or something similar, so for the timebeing I've installed the stable 1.4.7 version - that only asks for the username and password during setup, not the profile.

take a look at this thread on WhatPulse forums http://forums.whatpulse.org/showthread.php?t=3751&highlight=how+does+whatpulse+count+miles :)

No probs, that was probably me before, but not explaining it very well.

I would guess it measures the distance that the mouse itself moves rather than the pointer...

Edit: Thats a whatpulse stomp to six6six. :p

Nice.
I like the way you can build up a nice big keycount and then dump it on your unsuspecting victim. :p

"Activity throttle breached, try again in an hour of so!" :o

You're safe for now, Adnams Drinker.

EDIT: Is there a Linux client available? I see a Windows icon in my user page but I don't see clients available for any other platforms.

I'm running both Dolphin and Whatpulse. Dolphin is not well maintained since they haven't updated the client to make it easy to set up since their server change. Whatpulse seems the way head.

I'm using the beta client.

Didnt soeone say the beta client slowed their mouse down? Or was that just random rambling?

Edit are we team OcUK on whatpulse, im a little confused as there only seems to be 5 people.

Edit 2: Just found overclockers UK :o
