because the mods aren't on the ball today. I was in the f1 thread and forgot to go to gd.

Also I've never had to buy stamps or post anything myself before, so i just remember what they were like when i was a kid and would get to put the stamps on my mums envelopes

because at 5 that sort of thing is fun lol.

Quite ironic the first time i post something myself it is to my mum

i dont have anything to post ever though. The only reason i posted something this time is because it's my mums birthday and cause i'm at uni i can't see her so popped a card in teh post.

They got changed years ago, no more licking, another of life’s pleasures gone.

I remember with the old lick style stamps you could re-use them by putting the letters into hot water until the stamps came off them.

Why do you even care what stamps look like?
I mean you've got to have pretty much no life to collect them, and that can't be it because you'd know they've been like that for years.

You're only going to stick them on an envelope anyway.

Doesn't stop me peeling them off at work when we receive the post in - if they want to prevent that they need to stamp the stamps before delivering.

now you just peel them off and prit stick them to the new envelope

i confirmed with my wife earlier "you can still get lickable stamps" she says even the post office in the middle of the city centre has given her the lickable ones
